When I said I had trouble finding inexpensively priced restaurants in southwest Broward County, readers came to the rescue. I was helping out South Florida Sun Sentinel reader Earl Rodney of Pembroke Pines, who was looking for cheap eats in the geographic area of Pembroke Pines-Davie-Weston-Plantation. I told him it was a tough assignment because prices have increased so much post-pandemic. But I tracked down 10 eateries, my main criteria being locally owned establishments with entree prices below $20.
